Course Objective

To inform clinical neuroscience master students about different neurological diseases.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understanding and explaining, neural basics, genetic and neurochemical components of cognition and behaviour.
2   Having knowledge about cognitive impairment
3   Having basic knowledge about epilepsy, cerebrovascular diseases, demantial syndromes, sleep disorders, demyelinization disorders, movement disorders, vertigo and balance impairment
4   Having required knowledge about relevant research area.
5   Being able to express knowledge using both verbal and written forms.

Assessment Criteria

The knowlage of basic anatomical structures in brain, consciousness and cognitive disorders, definition of consciousness, epilepsy, cerebrovascular disease, demantial syndromes, sleep disorders, demyelinization disorders, movement disorders, vertigo and balance impairment will be evaluated by mid-term and final exam and the ability and capability of verbal presentation will be evaluated by oral exams.
