Course Objective

The doctorate programme in Public administration aims to educate students with a theoretical background which also includes knowing the theories about public administration, accessing to information and the ability to interpret information. In that way, it is aimed for the students to gain theoretical knowledge in the fields of political science, urban and environmental problems, administrative sciences and law. Also it is aimed to associate theoretical knowledge with the practices by using the different methods such as paper, project and field research.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Grasp the fundementals of public administration, city-environment, politics and law and use them in public organisations.
2   Develop public policies by being aware of the differences between public administration and business managemet.
3   Grasp the skill and ability of developing strategies and decision making-pratctise between differrent variables in international realitons and publid administration.
4   Use politics in a interdisiplinary way in order to develop public strategies.
5   Protect public interest as a citizen/public officer who has social responsibilities.
6   Understand and defend legal, economic and political factors that influence public policies at the local, national and global level
7   Grasp international rules in the area of public administration and gain abilitiy of making solution.
8   Defend and understand the universal principles of law
