Course Objective

The main objective of this course is to understand the basic feature of labor markets in EU and Türkiye, employment policy and the effects of EU s employment policy on member states employment policies in respect to Türkiye as a candidate country.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to understand coordination, authority, responsibility and functions of EU s employment policy in member states and Türkiye
2   To be able to understand the purposes and features of EU s employment strategy and the policies for employment and its implementations
3   To be able to analyse the effects of free movement of labour to EU socially, economically and politically
4   To be able to compare the change of labour market in member states and Türkiye in respect to space and time
5   To be able to evaluate the social and economical crisis and transformations in global scale and in EU, and its effects on Türkiye as a candidate country
