Course Objective

The aim of the course is to teach kind of documents from the Ottoman Archive like fermans, berats, mühimmes, hatt-ı hümayun etc. with paleography and calligraphy, and to interprete their contents.

1. 70 % of attendance in a subject for appearing in the examination is compulsory
2. Failure to attend a class will not be excused for overdue delivery of homework
3. Attendance, mid-term exam, homeworks and final exam will be taken into account in scoring
