Course Objective

The aim of this course is to understand the basics of laboratory methods which are expected to be used in oncology studies within the scope of Basic Oncology Master Program and to teach the concept of theoretical laboratory principles.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Capable of understanding the general laboratory principles used in oncology
2   Knows the laboratory devices and analysis methods used in oncology .
3   Apply basic laboratory analysis methods used in oncology.
4   Apply the necessary method in the basics of oncology
5   Appropriately evaluates and presents the results of a method applied in oncology.
6   She/He should have acquired the basic and general application skills of the methods applied in oncology.
7   Understands the methods of oncological research in the literature and adapts to their own projects and studies.

Learning outcomes will be assessed with preparation of presentation related to techniques of laboratory methods , doing laboratory experiments and exams. The homework on the topic of different kind of laboratory methods that they will used in their experiments will help in evaluating the learner understood the topics or not.
