Course Objective

In this course, it is aimed to the student to evaluate evidence-based practices in the care of individuals with mental disorders and their families and to practice basic psychosocial interventions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. The student can practice evidence-based management of psychiatric symptoms
2   2. The student can manage adherence problems and drug treatment that is used in psychiatric treatment
3   3. The student can manage psychosocial care of individuals with physical health problems
4   4. The student can support the mental well-being of individual, family and society in crisis situations
5   5. The student can know the interventions for the prevention and treatment of addiction
6   6. The student can plan and practice basic psychosocial interventions

Skills of interpretation, recollection, decision-making, explanation, knowledge combination
are assessed by means of exams.
In their homeworks/presentations, the students are assessed in terms of defining, analysing,
