Course Objective

To develop knowledge of the importance of computer technology in Biology teaching and learning, designing and applying computer based programs, virtual laboratories and their use and the use and importance of internet in teaching and learning biology.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understand the role and the importance of computers in teaching and learning of biology.
2   Design computer based teaching tools in biology.
3   Apply computer based teaching materials prepared for biology concepts in class.
4   Apply virtual based laboratory instruction plans in classroom environment.
5   Use internet effectively as a teaching and research tool in teaching biology.
