Course Objective

Ecophysiology views the relationship between physical/chemical functions of livings and environment

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Describe how organisms interact with each other and their environments
2   Compare air, water and soil as environmental media providing resources and determining living conditions for organisms
3   Give information about water relations and mineral transport in plants
4   Explain plant biochemistry and metabolism, including energy and carbon assimilation and nitrogen assimilation
5   Explain and describe plant growth and development, including embryogenesis and early development, flowering, and the role of plant hormones

9 The sun lights reaching the leaves; Reflection, Absorpsion, Transmission.
10 According to the length of day (Photoperidism)
11 The Temperature Factor
12 Behavior and Mechanisms of Protection of plants against extreme heat and cold.
13 Environmental factors affecting the construction of organic matter in plants.
14 Environmental factors affecting the destruction of organic matter in plants.
15 Environmental factors affecting stomatal opening and closure in plants.
