Course Objective

It is aimed to examine quantitative and qualitative research can be used in mathematics education and to apply the quantitative and qualitative research design pattern into mathematics research.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To design a study based on quantitative research according to examine a research question for secondary mathematics education field.
2   To design a study based on qualitative research according to examine a research question for secondary mathematics education field.
3   To be able to realize quantitative research conducted in mathematics education by using qualitative methods.
4   To be able to realize qualitative research conducted in mathematics education by using qualitative methods.
5   To be able to present a report for the conducted study on the basis of quantitative and qualitative research
