Course Objective

To analyse and compare current music education aproaches in the World, namely Kodaly Method, Orff-Schulwerk Music and Movement Approach, Dalcroze Eurhytmics Method, Suzuki Method and Gordon s Music Learning Theory, and learn to make lesson plans within these methods and approaches.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To know the philosophy, principals and learning-teaching process of Kodaly Method and to make lesson plans within this method.
2   To know the philosophy, principals and learning-teaching process of Orff-Schulwerk Music and Movement Approach and to make lesson plans within this approach.
3   To know the philosophy, principals and learning-teaching process of Dalcroze Eurhytmics Method and to make lesson plans within this method.
4   To know the philosophy, principals and learning-teaching process of Suzuki Method.
5   To know the philosophy, principals and learning-teaching process of Gordon s Music Learning Theory and to make lesson plans within this method.
6   To compare current music education approaches and methods
