Course Objective

Thousands of fonts based on design principles were created.
Typography on media has positive effects on artistic and cultural development
because of its aesthetic and communicative features.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knowing the Stone writings of antiquity, Roma, Greek and Byzantine.
2   Knowing the relation of typography and graphic design.
3   Knowing Jan Tscihold and his new typographic approach.
4   Knowing the principles of typography.
5   Knowing the international typographic style.
6   Knowing the structure of letters.
7   Designing fonts.
8   Knowing Pi fonts.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Using theoretical and practical abilities of typography in media in a modern and aesthetic way. The applications must unite typography with illustrations indicating the importance of the design elements and principles.
