Course Objective

The aim of the course is to enable the student to read Ottoman Turkish and make legal evaluations through selected Ottoman Turkish legal texts.

1   To be able to recognize Ottoman Turkish letters
2   Ability to read Ottoman Turkish
3   Ability to read through selected Ottoman Turkish texts
4   To be able to understand the legal concepts in Ottoman Turkish texts
5   To be able to evaluate the Ottoman Turkish texts from a legal point of view
