Course Objective

The aim of this course is to understand structure and function of the labor market in our country in the era of globalization. This course is important and necessary for the students to scrutinize the emerging changes related to the economic and social policies in Türkiye in the field of labour economics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To understand the observed transformations in labour markets and in the field of labour economics
2   To learn policies and practices related to the functioning and characteristics of labor markets
3   To analyze failures of the labor markets in terms of social and economic aspects
4   To compare the change in the labor market on a global scale and in Türkiye in terms of time and space
5   To discuss the social and economic crisis and transformations in global scale in terms of labour markets and their affects on Türkiye in the era of globalization
