Course Objective

The main objective of this course is to understand the basic feature of EU s labor market, employment policy and the effects of EU s employment policy on member states employment policies in respect to Türkiye as a candidate country

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To understand authority, responsibility and function of coordinating EU s employment policy in member states
2   To understand the purposes and features of EU s employment strategy and the policies for employment and its implementations
3   To be able to analyse the effects of free movement of workers to EU socially and economically
4   To compare the change of labour market in member states and Türkiye in respect to space and time
5   To evaluate the social and economical crisis and transformations in global scale and in EU, and its effects on Türkiye as a candidate country
6   To understand wage policies in Türkiye and in the EU

1. Students are obligated to participate 70% of the lectures
2. All kinds of palagiarism and attept of palagiarism shall be concluded by disciplinary punishment
3. Students supposed to read the materials before lecture and participate the classroom discussions
4. Students are expected to make presentations about the subjects given by the lecturer.
