Course Objective

It is aimed to introduce students characteristics, principles and rules of occupational health and safety in general. By the help of this education, students will be able to immobilize the situation (due diligence) encountered all kind of occupational accident and disease. Also by explaining main characteristics of employer's obligation to take the measures of occupational health and safety it is aimed to recognize the legal problems encountered in work-life and to provide students solve this cases by the help of their knowledge.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to define employer's obligation of taking measures of occupation
2   Being able to understand fault-based and strict liability of the employer and determine its limits
3   Being able to determine the provisions of occupational health and safety
4   Being able to determine the concepts and conditions of occupational accident and diseas and comprehend bounden procedure
5   Being able to acquire expertise on the occupational health and safety subject by examining the decisions of the Supreme Court and changes in legislation
6   Determine the rules of occupational health and safety
7   Changes in legislation and gain expertise in information on the issue examined by the Supreme Court
8   To examine several important situations encountered in the working life relating labor law in the light of Supreme Court decisions
9   Applying knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and labor law

5 Tripartite labor relations and liability of theemployer related to such relations
6 Occupational and safety at work provisions and regulations

9 Duities and responsibilities of the employer related to Occupational health and safety rules
10 Occupational safe and health audit Suspention of work or closing down of the workplace

Case studies on daily issues to consolidate those described. Interacvtive narrative by treating the students' participation. Case Practices and examination of the judicial decisions.
