Course Objective

Ensuring the occupational health and safety during waste collection and transport, and in waste processing and disposal facilities, learning the determination and management of the risks which may threat the occupational health and safety.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learning to determine the risks and their control methods for areas that the domestic, industrial and medical wastes are produced
2   To determine the situations that threat the occupational health and safety during the collection, transport, transfer and recycling of the wastes, to learn how to calculate the risks and their management methods
3   To determine the risks during the construction and operation of a lanfill site and planning their management
4   To determine the risks during the construction and operation of a composting facility and planning their management
5   To determine the risks during the construction and operation of a waste digestion plant and planning their management
6   To determine the risks during the construction and operation of a waste facility that applies thermal destruction methods and planning their management
