Course Objective

This course aims to teach organisms used in molecular biotechnology and current biotechnological methods.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be informed of knowledge about the definition and development of biotechnology.
2   Learn organisms used in biotechnology.
3   Be informed of the methods and areas of use used in molecular biotechnology.
4   Learn the methods for the use of biotechnology in the fields of food, environment, industry, agriculture, and medicine.
5   Follows current developments in the field of biotechnology.

The course is taught in a lecture, class presentation, and discussion format. All class members are expected to attend the lecture and participate in the discussion sessions. Besides the course, group presentations are to be prepared by the groups assigned for that week and presented to open a discussion session.
