Course Objective

The course provides detailed information on mathematical models, their structure and use in activated sludge systems. Mathematical models are used for plant design and optimization.

1   to define detailed information about theory of activated sludge processes
2   to define stoichiometry and kinetics of activated sludge systems
3   to associate principles with basic science and environmental engineering informations
4   to define Activated Sludge Models
5   to design activated sludge process by using activated sludge models
