Course Objective |
The main subject of this course covers aspects of applied geophysics and applied geosciences. Its idea is a comprehensive and concise systematic presentation of the physical properties of rocks. The course will present fundemental results of experimental investigations and some main directions of a theoretical basis. The interpretation of geophysical data in exploration geophysics, well logging, engineering, mining and environmental geophysics needs the knowledge of the rock properties and their correlation. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
The course shall be given as lecture, class presentations and discussion format. All class members are expected to attend both the lecture and seminar hours and take part in the discussion sessions. Besides taught lecture, group presentations are to be prepared by the groups assigned for that week and presented to open a discussion session. |
