Course Objective

The course aims to provide the necessary theoretical knowledge to analyse water distribution networks and to compute the various networks according to different demand-supply alternatives.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To understand the design criteria of branched and looped networks.
2   To determine the characteristics of a specified network which operates in steady conditions
3   To check into consideration the needs which can be variable in time.
4   To investigate the behavior of the projected network under unsteady conditions.
5   To determine the waterhammer and to solve using Charecteristics method.
