Course Objective

The course aims to introduce the students basis of the microwave theory, and make them
familiar with the conceptp of microwave transmission lines, waveguides, microstrip
lines, propagation in different mediums. The passive and active components used in
microwave circuits will be given. Design of microwave filters, amplifiers and
oscillators is covered.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to understand electromagnetiv propagation in transmission lines.
2   To be able to analyze basic microwave structures.
3   To be able to understand and use the microwave components in design procedures.
4   To be able to analyze and design microwave amplifiers.
5   To be able to analyze and design microwave oscillators.
