Course Objective

To provide the students a fundamental knowledge and concepts of electrodynamics; to develop conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills in the area of electrodynamics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to explain and apply Maxwell's equations 2   Being able to treat the phenomena caused by steadily flowing charges 3   Being able to calculate reflection and transmission coefficients for waves at interface 4   Being able to explain the propagation of electromagnetic waves in vacuum and matter 5   Being able to develop problem-solving skills in the area of electrodynamics at an advanced level
