Course Objective

How oxidative stress affects the intracellular signal transduction pathways in living systems; which stress factors play roles in activation and regulation of these pathways; relationships between signal transduction systems and ageing, inflammation, cancer and many other diseases will be discussed.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Contact and discuss the relationship between oxidative stress and its components inducing stress and signal transduction,
2   Examine intracellular signal transduction pathways, mechanisms and regulation steps,
3   Examine production of supporter precursors which fastly respond oxidative stress,
4   Examine the relationship between changes depend on oxidation in supporter precursors-transcription factors and gene expression,
5   Evaluate the relationship between intracellular signal transduction depend on environmental factors and cancer and other diseases.
