Course Objective

This course aims to expain the currents and processes in the ocean due to the salinity and the temperature of the ocean.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Able to understand the dynamics of the stratification in the ocean
2   Will learn processes resulting in mixing between layers
3   Able to explain these processes using simple models
4   able to explain observed events in the ocean through the combining data and models
