Course Objective

The goal of this course is to introduce students the relevant theories, models, and approaches that evaluate the urban form. The course covers theories regarding the internal spatial arrangement and functioning of cities; and factors influencing urban spatial structure over time

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will be able to define different theoretical approaches that evaluate urban form.
2   Students will be able to explain the factors that influence urban spatial structure.
3   Students will be able to define different methods of urban form analysis
4   Students will be able to analyse urban form by different approaches.
