Course Objective |
The course aims to provide knowledge on production methods, fine structure, physical and chemical properties and application areas of high performance fibers such as high modulus-high tenacity fibers, thermally resistant fibers and chemically resistant fibers. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
The course is taught in a lecture, class presentation and discussion format. All class members are expected to attend and both the lecture and seminar hours and take part in the discussion sessions. |

There will be at least two projects, averaged out grades for which will be 10 % of the overall success of the students. A mid-term examination will be averaged and affect the grade by 30%. Final exam will be 50% of the resulting grade. |
