Course Objective |
Basic understanding of the earth and its behavior as well oceans and general knowlwdge of about their dynamics. This course aims to provide an introduction to the basic concepts about the earth and the oceans and their geophysical anomalies (Gravity; Magnetics; Paleomagnetism; Heat Flow; Seismology) related with these structures. The structure and tectonics of Türkiye as well as the surrounding regions (Eastern Mediterranean, Aegean and Black Sea) shall be evaluated in the context of the plate tectonic dynamics. |
