Course Objective

The course will provide an understanding the importance of the Group Theory and comprehension for applications of group theoretical methods in various physical problems.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of this course student will be able to define a group and express its fundamental properties
2   At the end of this course student will be able to identify the differences between discrete and continuous groups
3   At the end of this course student will be able to express and apply mathematically Group postulates on any operational set
4   At the end of this course student will be able to understand the relationships between the group concept and symmetry
5   At the end of this course student will be able to establish groups character tables
