Course Objective

The aim of the course is to get the students acquainted with the colour reproducing structures; colourations and behaviour relations, and also chromatic changes in animals.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To learn colouration of vertebrates and invertebrates
2   Understanding importance of structural and adaptation colouration in animals
3   To adapted contemporary life with colouration in animals
4   To investigate data base related colouration in animals and transfer the obtainging data with orally or in writing
5   To obtain establishing between environmental factors and colouration in animals
6   To adapt importance of colouration in animals with environmental problems

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The course is taught in a lecture, class presentation and discussion format. All class members are expected to attend and both the lecture and take part in the discussion sessions. Besides the taught lecture, group presentations are to be prepared by the groups assigned for that week and presented to open a discussion session.
