Course Objective

This course aims to teach defensive behaviors in animals.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The graduate is able to define behavior and comprehend the reasons of animal behaviors
2   The graduate is able to define behavior patterns and explain the organization of behavior
3   The graduate is able to comprehend the physiology of behavior
4   The graduate is able to define biotoxins, bioluminacence, mimicry and camouflage
5   The graduate is able to analyze the defensive behaviors in different animal groups.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The course is taught in a lecture, class presentation and discussion format. All class members are expected to attend and both the lecture and take part in the discussion sessions. Besides the taught lecture, group presentations are to be prepared by the groups assigned for that week and presented to open a discussion session.
