Course Objective

Teach basic knowledge on zoogeography, introduction to animal geography, the effects of ecological factors at animal distribution, ecosystems, theories which used in explaining the distribution of Animals, glaciations and formation of land bridges, distribution patterns of animals, zoogeographical regions and fauna, animal migrations.

4   To be able to learn of theory which explain the spread of animals

6 Biogeographical regions, Litoral, Seas, Inland Waters and their animals
7 The theories used in the explanation of animal spread
8 Glacial formation and sea level change

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The course is taught in a lecture, class presentation and discussion format. All class members are expected to attend and both the lecture and take part in the discussion sessions. Besides the taught lecture, group presentations are to be prepared by the groups assigned for that week and presented to open a discussion session
