Course Objective

In this lesson it is intended to teach to find the rightpins of asynchronous and synchronous machines, to wire asynchronous and synchronous machines up the circuit and to operate them.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to explain the operation of asynchronous motors. 2   To be able to explain the operation of synchronous motors. 3   To be able to understand the operation of generators. 4   To be able to classify asynchronous and synchronous motors. 5   To be able to discriminate between 1-phase and 3-phase motors.
