Course Objective

Objective is to teach students Developmental Psychology. Information about psychological development phases are the main streams of this course.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Trainees will learn the differentiation of Developmental Psychology and other psychological sub areas.
2   Trainees will learn basic assumptions and concepts of Developmental Psychology.
3   Trainees will learn the thoughts of other theorists about human personality.
4   Trainees will learn Basic Development Theory.
5   Trainees will learn the developmental process and phases of human beeings.
6   Trainees will learn the aim, application and the assesment of developmental tests.
7   Trainees will learn about Language development and identify delays in Children.
8   Trainees will learn how to approach families of children that have Language Develepment Delays.

1 What is psychology and their subdivisions.
2 Introduction to Developmental Psychology.
3 The viewpoint of psychoanalytic,behavioral and humanistic theoretician to developmental psychology.
4 Psychosexual periods of Freud and Erikson & the eight developmental phases of humans.
5 Measurement of Development and widely used national tests in this subject area.
6 Definition of Socal skills, Fine Motor, Language Skills, Gross Motor
7 Deeper look into Language Skills
8 Piaget and Learning theory.
9 The viewpoint of Piaget to Language learning and development.
10 Role of familiy in Children Development
11 Additives of familiy to Language skill development.
12 General overview and discussion
