Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explain the concepts of disasters, classify disasters and define types of disasters
2   Knows the types of disasters and their effects occurring in Türkiye and World
3   Define the role and responsibilities of disaster nursing in disaster management and disasters.
4   Knows disaster management, types and properties of process.
5   Make definitions about disaster risks.
6   Disaster preparedness, disaster preparation actions and institutions that know the task.
7   Explains the health problems that occur according to the types of disasters.
8   Defines vulnerable groups before, during and after disaster.
9   Explains the effects of disasters on health and the nursing interventions to be applied.
10   Chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear agents (CBRN) defines.
11   Explain the triage and their basic characteristics.
12   Recognize and understand the importance of geographical information systems in disaster.
13   Knows the national and international organizations, duties and responsibilities that provide assistance in disaster
