Course Objective |
The main objective of this course is to describe and demonstrate the basic peculiarities, methodologies, techniques of transportation planning held in urban areas. Fulfilling this objective intention to interdisciplinary approaches will be highlighted. The interrelations among the different levels of planning are displayed in the course content in relation to transport decisions and implementation procedures. Instructions and sharing the knowledge in the course will be supplemented with local and global cases. Enrichment of the students of city and regional planning in order to comprehend the problems of urban transportation systems, solving them and to propose transportation projects in relation general planning efforts. |

This course will be given through lectures and the students will learn by attending and listening to the lectures. Besides the midterm examination, students will be asked to prepare homework. |
