Course Objective |
Scope of the course is to get students acquainted with materials failures, the techniques to investigate the cause of failures and the measures to be taken to prevent the reoccurrence of failures in light of the findings reached. By considering the moral and materialistic losses occurring as a results of materials failures, help the students to develop their skills to conduct an investigation on failed parts and systems, to make the right choice for the test methods of investigation and to gain ability to use these methods. Enable students to draw a relation between the results and causes of the failures. |

To present an oral presentation of a case study in class room as a team or singly and follow the lectures regularly. Asses the students gains acquired in classroom studies in either writing or orally discussing. |
