Course Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce students to the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of polymers that are widely used in all areas of our lives. In addition, it is aimed that students will be able to discuss the effects of these materials on the environment, economy and social life through presentation.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Comprehend the basic polymer knowledge.
2   Interpret the structure-property relationship of polymers.
3   Predict how a polymer product is produced when came across it.
4   Have knowledge about the mechanical properties of polymers.
5   Discuss the impacts of polymers on the environment, economy and social life.
