to teach engineering systems by defining the basic parameters and applications of thermodynamic principles

1   Defining the thermodynamical concepts.
2   To estimate thermodynamical properties of pure substances and ideal gases.
3   Application of the 1st law of the thermodynamics in closed systems
4   Application of the 1st law of thermodynamics in open systems
5   Mass and energy balance on chemical reactions

1 Introduction to thermodynamics: Thermodynamic concepts, units and definitions.
2 Energy and first law of thermodynamics
3 Properties of pure matters and phase diagrams
4 Ideal and real gases: Ideal and real gas behaviours and thermodynamical properties of the ideal gases.Politropic processes
5 Thermodynamical properties of humid air.
6 First laws of thermodynamics: Mass and energy balances in closed systems.
7 Mass and energy balances at the open systems.
8 First law analysis at Nozzles, turbines and compressors.
9 First law analysis at the pumps and expansion valves. heat exchangers
10 First law analysis at the heat exchangers
11 Humid air process
12 The second law of thermodynamics: Reversible and irreversible processes,Defining of entropy change and calculating entropy change in ideal gas process
13 Chemical reactions and formation enthalpy
14 Mass (mole) and energy balance on chemical reactions
