Course Objective

Development of professional skills important to the practice of mining engineering. Topics include; ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering fundamentals, written and oral communication skills, understanding ethical responsibility and appropriate ethical conduct, real-world problem formulation and solution skills, exercise of abilities important to life long learning, knowledge of contemporary issues important to mining engineering.

1 Course presentation, the transfer of science and engineering relationships. Information about our planet, and geoscience
2 The structure of the world, identification of rocks and minerals and the relevant facts. Chemical problems related geological structures.
3 Chemical and mathematical analyzes of engineering problems and practices with
4 Physics and mathematics- based engineering problems and sample solutions in mining
5 Physics-based integrated problem identification, analysis and discussion of the results of teamwork with
6 Simple transport problems in mining
7 The substance is used for analyzing the basic properties of matter integrated problem-solving
8 Fluid mechanics and mining-based engineering problems (solutions and discussion
9 Solving sample porblems using basic and engineering sciences
10 Engineering mechanics problems in engineering and / or mining
11 Team working on engineering mechanics
12 Mining and / or engineering problems of industrial application, with the introduction of an integrated
13 Integrated solutions to the problem discussed in class between the groups
14 Report delivery and presentation
