Course Objective

The aim of the department is to enable the students of the Geophysical Engineering Department to get to know various institutions including geophysics and to gain experience in these institutions, and to develop their knowledge and skills in areas such as land application, data evaluation and reporting, as far as possible.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   LO1. To be able to form institutional contacts individually with administrative bodies and establishments.
2   LO2. To be able to assimilate work discipline under professional work conditions.
3   LO3. The ability of utilizing the equipment and gear being selected for the determined solution plan.
4   LO4. To be able to describe the problems in the field with the knowledge obtained in the lectures and applications.
5   LO5. To be able to prepare proper solution plans for the described problem with the knowledge obtained in the lectures and applications.
6   LO6. To be able to interpret the controlled results together with the geology of the area.
7   LO7. To be able to submit as a report all the procedures towards the solution of the problem with the addition of drawings in the professional ethics.
8   LO8. To be able to comprehend that learning is the continuous process for the problems which would be faced during professional days.

Student shall be not successful if the evaluation of the student by the establishment where the course is being taken after the 6 weeks duration in the Institutional Survey Training course.
