Course Objective

To give theoretical and applied information in historical development of water structures, water resources economy, water law, development of water resources, water demands, dams, weirs, water intake structures, purification, free surface and pressure flow. Introduction of energy resources which used in electricity power generation. Preparation of a homework on energy resources and presentation of it.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The use of water power systems to to meet the electrical energy need, and able to choose the available water power system type,
2   Be able to pre-design of elements of selected system,
3   Convert-to provide the water power into electrical energy,
4   Water power can be used to meet the need for electrical power which is one of the traditional and renewable energy sources.Homework, preparing to become familiar with and gain experience in performing research on new energy resources,
5   By the prepared homework to gain experience in presentation and reporting.
