Course Objective |
The aim of this course is to determine the stresses, strains and displacements under different load conditions. Topics on torsion, normal force and bending are covered in details. The elastic curve is determined differential equations. Displacements and sectional rotations are calculated by moment area method. It is planned to discuss buckling and energy methods which are the advanced topics in solid mechanics. |
