Course Objective

In the course there are two main parts will be introduced to the students. The first part is Engineering Statics and mechanics: Vectors, Equilibrium Equations, Moment of a Force, Equivalent Force-Couple Systems, Trusses, Frames, Internal Forces, Moment of Inertia. Stress-Strain, Axial Forces, Bending, Shear, Torsion, Combined Stresses, Buckling, Deformations will be given in detail.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understanding engineering structures and their analyses
2   Gaining engineering structures and their structural concept in comparison of the analyses
3   Selecting different structural criteria and structural design for different cases
4   Connecting new concepts and developments in course content
5   Classification structures and their analyses
