Course Objective

In this course, topics such as multi-criteria decision making, goal programming, game theory, decision analysis, utility theory, network models, nonlinear programming will be covered. The aim is to enable students to construct mathematical models related to these issues and to find the most appropriate solutions to industrial engineering problems by using relevant solution methods.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to apply multi-criteria decision making techniques and goal programming
2   To be able to apply game theory, utility theory and decision analysis techniques
3   To be able to create network models and nonlinear models for solving Industrial Engineering problems
4   To be able to solve network models and nonlinear models with related methods
5   To be able to interpret, report and present solutions obtained by performing optimization applications in industrial engineering subjects.
