Course Objective

The objective of this course is to teach basics of electronics to provide background for a mechanical engineer
for understanding operation of the electronic circuits
to determine the requirements of the electronic circuits for mechanical systems
to establish communicational and informative skills to collaborate in multidisciplinary projects with computer, electrical and electronics engineers.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To describe basic concepts in electronics
2   To identify the electronic components, currents and voltages in electronic circuits
3   To compute the power of motor drivers
4   To choose the technique to drive a DC motor
5   To select the appropriate motor drivers for DC motors
