Course Objective

1. high voltage engineering methods, techniques and equipment.
2. fundamentals of the failure mechanisms of solid, liquid and gaseous insulation at high voltages.
3. the design principles for high-voltage equipment
4. methods for monitoring and assessing the condition of high-voltage equipment
5. the problems encountered in high voltage technology.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1	Ability to demonstrate an understanding of high voltage engineering techniques.
2	An ability to perform calculations for the selection of cables, overhead lines and high-voltage equipment.
3	Ability to conduct analysis of industrial equipment.
4	Ability to identify the most suitable equipment for performing specific testing on high-voltage applications.
5	Ability to write a report to communicate project work.
