Course Objective

The course aims to teach the assessment of economical issues related to the solid waste management due to the commonly used technologies

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Can order and classify the cost items related to the solid waste facilities.
2   Can discuss the technologies subject to the investments by considering tyhe cost items and comment the costs mentinoed in the literature.
3   Can use the knowledge related to the unit investment costs, and apply them to the new plants.
4   Can present the waste management components, compare their costs, and correlate the cost items with the waste properties.
5   Can formulate the costs of waste management systems and determine them numerically.
6   Can decide on the waste management systems by considering thye cost elements and can foresee the investment and operation costs.
