Course Objective

To solve the geological problems during field studies, with geophysical application examples

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to evaluate which geophysical methods, instruments and equipments are effective to solve geological problems
2   To be able to examine the geological problems to find the evidences
3   To be able to analyse the evidences obtained from geophysical research methods
4   To be able to interpret the evidences to solve a geologic problems with geophysical methods obtained from field observation and measurements
5   To be able to know to present the results in common report format
6   To be able to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Course will be given in lecture hall. Field studies and laboratory works will be performed by students. Taking notes by students are essential. Students will follow the course from lecture notes and relevant books

Percentage of homework/presentation/project is 20% to the course grade. LO1-2-3-4-5 will be examined
Percentage of final exam is 50% to the course grade. All learning targets (LO1-2-3-4-5) will be examined
