Course Objective

Following the comparison of the pavement types in relation with advantage and disadvantage, the materials used in the pavement system will be discussed in details.

The utilization of new road materials, different construction techniques and technology based materials will be made within literature review.

Besides, the conventional as well as a new nature susceptible bituminous mixture will be introduced.

1   To classify pavement types
2   To compare pavement types from technical and economical point of view.
3   To compose literature regarding conventional road materials to be used in pavement.
4   To evaluate the utilization and effects of current additives wihtin asphaltic pavement.
5   To make detailed investigations related to road construction techniques.
6   To investigate sustainable road materials in relation with different technologies
