Course Objective

The main objective of the course is to determine usage of simulation modeling on production and service systems as a decision support system, to explain theorical background of simulation and the application of simulating the complex systems, to generate random numbers and variables, to implement applications by using Ms Excel, Ds for Windows and PROMODEL softwares.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to explain components of the system simulation
2   To be able to distinguish simulation techniques on management processes
3   To be able to use statistical and analytical skills on applications of the simulation.
4   To be able to use application softwares
5   To be able to understand differences between discrete and continuous simulation.
6   To be able to expose the relationship between simulation and statistics.
7   To be able to generate data and to obtain data distribution.
8   To be able to set simulation models and scenarios and to interpret results.
9   To be able to constitute concept and applications of simulation.
